BTW, debootstrap is the official tool for bootstrapping Ubuntu. cdebootstrap used to offer some benefits when it was first implemented in Debian, but nowadays debootstrap handles most of that, and the only real "benefit" you get from cdebootstrap in Ubuntu is that you get to experience some exciting bugs ...
