Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager

Neither the function keys (FN + F5 = brightness down or FN + F6 =
brightness up) or the brightness applet that can be added to the panel
will change the brightness. It's stuck on ~ 50 %. I've tried to use the
fix I found at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/LaptopTestingTeam/AsusUL30A
created by Neehilo but it doesn't work.

I did a clean install of Ubuntu 10.04 64-bit beta 1 today with an usb
pen.
