Public bug reported:
10.04 Beta 1 i386 CD. Startup very slow after turning off the system
for about 8 hours. I cannot access my user name and password at all yet
after about 10 minutes this is why I am making this report from 9.04.
Also Firefox and Thunderbird seem to lock up at times and a restart
seems to be the only way to unlock them, mouse is useless .
