Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: python-visual

Steps to reproduce in python:
------
Python 2.6.5 (r265:79063, Mar 20 2010, 14:40:09)
[GCC 4.4.3] on linux2
Type "help", "copyright", "credits" or "license" for more information.
>>> import visual
Segmentation fault (core dumped)
------
dmesg output:
[ 1815.676221] python[1591]: segfault at 18 ip 00007ff1fe4f17b4 sp
00007ffff8f92270 error 6 in libstdc++.so.6.0.13[7ff1fe428000+f6000]

This was tested in a kvm-qemu vm running Ubuntu 10.04 beta-1 64bit

It also occurred on the host machine running 9.10 64bit
The original problem was noted on the forums:
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1326593

This issue seems different from the other bugs posted because the
segfault occurs during the import process while other bugs show it
occurring after calling a function or method.
