And Hi Ubuntu people. I am one of your biggest fans and have been using Linux since Mandrake/Mandriva. And Ubuntu since 2005. I think the reason for this bug is the threshold is set too low. I am using Ubuntu 9.10 on this desktop, and the temperature vary from 65 to 72 C. I have tried to change the limits myself to 80C before warning and shutdown. Anyhow the existing limits are way too low, I think 70C would bring my computer down. Just think what this would have done to a production computer. Automatic shutdown during important updates? Fix this problem if you want Ubuntu to be a serious contender in this big market
