Public bug reported: This is for Lucid beta1 and 3/22/10 nightly.
Existing x86_64 system with a dual GeForce GTX 295 graphics driver. Two monitor's on the driver: - ViewSonic VX2000 @1600x1200 60Hz, and - Dell 3007w...@2560x1600 59.86 Hz System installs and works find under Karmic. After I install Lucid beta1 (or the nightly) I try to bring up the system and it hangs either in upstart or the graphics driver. I tried using chroot to 'apt-get dist-upgrade' and also install a few additional packages with no luck. I did not try to install the nvidia driver during installation---the only thing special was tri-boot with a shared /boot and multiple / partitions for different ubuntu versions. The last install I attempted I used a partition for / and the existing 2G /boot partition and left the major XFS filesystems ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- boot fails after installation on x86_64 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/544728 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
