I swore I typed "impossible" when I entered this problem. Oh, well.
This problem does not only affect me. There are lots of incidents reported in October and November where the Ubuntu installer did not work properly. I would boot and then stare at a black screen indefinitely.... unless I put a LiveCD in and booted the hard drive from that. You would think such a basic problem would have been fixed by now. Solution: I installed Debian 5.0 and it works flawlessly... Yes, flawlessly... first time... every time. Not messing with Ubuntu anymore. Maybe I'll try it after the next upgrade... once I'm sure the loading program problem has been fixed. -- Successful install inpossible with 9.10 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/544197 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
