Installing 1.0.3 works (though the applet frequently crashes, as
before).

Thank you very much for your quick responses, this is really refreshing but
actually quite standard for Ubuntu and other open source projects i noticed
(and unthinkable for Windows, in my previous life)!

One general suggestion perhaps: I use the Ubuntu One folder quite a lot for
user data but I always need to escape the space in various config files. In
mysql my.cnf I have not found out a way to escape it (do you happen to know
that). Would it be an idea to use ubuntuone or UbuntuOne as a name?
