Public bug reported:

Sfxr is able to create retro sound effects for games. It is meant to
help entrants in speed-programming contests like PyWeek and Lundum Dare
to include basic sound effects. The idea was that they could just hit a
few buttons in this application and get some largely randomized effects
that were custom in the sense that the user could accept/reject each
proposed sound.

Notes: I have already managed to create a package in my personal PPA. I have
also contacted the lead developer to help make the upstream tarball suitable
(http://code.google.com/p/sfxr/issues/detail?id=1).
