Public bug reported: ppl trying to install Ubuntu on Toshiba T100 series would face a "Kernel panic" (mine is T110)
this is temporarily solved using ndiswrapper as described here http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1316079 I report this again because I installed the new Lucid and the problem still exists here's some details: 1. I need to disable wlan card in bios before installing ubuntu or the progress bar would froze forever 2. after installing I need to blacklist rtl8187se (wlan card module of the machine), so I could login to the system with wlan enabled and using ndiswrapper to make it work 3. ***** AFTER ndiswrapper make the wlan work. I could do rmmod ndiswrapper modprobe rtl8187se to make it work with native driver, this is weird.. hope you smart guys can fix this in the final version. I can't rely on ndiswrapper forever =) PS people with a toshiba T135 seems have got a new version of driver by which their wlan can work fine (rtl8192se) but T110 doesn't..
