Hi Ken. There are two issues you are describing here. The first is that
the installed software section is uncategorized (LP: #437072). The
second is that multiple selection is not available (LP: #448370). Both
of these issues have already been reported in Launchpad. I will mark
this bug as a duplicate of the more important issue you described,
namely that multiple selection is not available. Thanks for this report
