** Description changed: Binary package hint: xorg Hello, I discovered a quiet annoying error in Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic on my Lenovo Thinkpad T500 notebook. From time to time (but serveral times a week) when I close and reopen the lid sometime later the display is not reactivated. It is totally dark, so maybe not a screensaver problem. I closed and reopened the lid several time in case of a problem with electonic contacts or so but the display remains black. Best regards! + [dmesg] + [56280.688565] INFO: task i915/0:387 blocked for more than 120 seconds. + [56280.688574] "echo 0 > /proc/sys/kernel/hung_task_timeout_secs" disables this message. + [56280.688580] i915/0 D c08185c0 0 387 2 0x00000000 + [56280.688591] f6589f04 00000046 f669cb8c c08185c0 f669cdf8 c08185c0 82c07d18 00003312 + [56280.688608] c08185c0 c08185c0 f669cdf8 c08185c0 82c06e5c 00003312 c08185c0 f3ff3500 + [56280.688624] f669cb60 f6b75814 f6b75818 ffffffff f6589f30 c0572e96 c074ce80 f6b7581c + [56280.688640] Call Trace: + [56280.688657] [<c0572e96>] __mutex_lock_slowpath+0xc6/0x130 + [56280.688666] [<c0572db0>] mutex_lock+0x20/0x40 + [56280.688719] [<f848b8fa>] i915_gem_retire_work_handler+0x2a/0x70 [i915] + [56280.688731] [<c01579de>] run_workqueue+0x6e/0x140 + [56280.688770] [<f848b8d0>] ? i915_gem_retire_work_handler+0x0/0x70 [i915] + [56280.688780] [<c0157b38>] worker_thread+0x88/0xe0 + [56280.688790] [<c015c180>] ? autoremove_wake_function+0x0/0x40 + [56280.688800] [<c0157ab0>] ? worker_thread+0x0/0xe0 + [56280.688807] [<c015be8c>] kthread+0x7c/0x90 + [56280.688815] [<c015be10>] ? kthread+0x0/0x90 + [56280.688824] [<c0104047>] kernel_thread_helper+0x7/0x10 + [lspci] 00:00.0 Host bridge [0600]: Intel Corporation Mobile 4 Series Chipset Memory Controller Hub [8086:2a40] (rev 07) 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: Intel Corporation Mobile 4 Series Chipset Integrated Graphics Controller [8086:2a42] (rev 07)
