When you see the "keyboard equals accessibility" icon on the very first
screen, press a key to bring up the boot options menu. Select a
language then press F6, and escape to clear the menu that appears. You
should see a line of text. Remove the "quiet splash" text from it and
put "nomodeset" (without quotes) in its place. Hit enter.
This will give you much more verbose output of what's happening during
the boot process. If the install still hangs, can you please take a
picture of your screen at the point where it's stopping and attach it to
this bug. If you are able to get to the screen with the "Try Ubuntu
10.04" and "Install Ubuntu 10.04" options, do let me know.
