Public bug reported:

I closed a project in Eclipse by right-clicking and closing by the pop-
up menu. The whole system became unresponsive, only the mouse pointer
moved (jaggedly).   Ctrl-alt-backspace, (or delete) did nothing to help.
Compiz was not on.

I'm using a IBM Thinkpad R60.
