I had to remove the "-p" from the line $ chmod 700 -p /var/lib/likewise-open/db Also, the last line gave an error lwsm start lsass Error: LW_ERROR_NO_SUCH_SERVICE (41204) No service with the specified name exists I will restart and then try to join the domain again.
