Hi Joe. That's great news; thank you for testing this and reporting back
so quickly.
I can also report that with the package versions that Michael cited
above (in comment #4) I can no longer reproduce this issue. I can
install/remove multiple items, click around the UI freely, with no
freezes. Based on the results that are being reported I'll close as fix
released.
