Binary package hint: f-spot
Steps to reproduce:
Take a screenshot.
Note the file size (mine were usually about 560k)
Open the file in f-spot.
Crop the image as small as possible.
Exit f-spot, and click save.
Look at the file size of the image: It didn't change. (560k for a 15x23 png)
Repeat the above steps except save the file prior to exiting, and the
resulting file size is more reasonable. (< 1k)
I also tested this with a jpeg and got the same results.
