I also meet this bug when I install Lucid's beta 1 (64 bits) to my Dell
Studio 1535. I download the ubuntu-10.04-beta1-desktop-amd64.iso file
and burn a CD, full installation.

I turn on my Wifi, before starting to boot and install Lucid. My
experience shows me that way to get my wifi card drivers from the CD
smoothly.

Then it hangs at 79%.

After waiting for long, it still keeps on retrieving ... of ... at 79%.
I google around and read the comment of Joosteto #34. I try switching
off my Wifi button to disconnect from the Internet. Wow it works! I
could get though it and the installation was Ok.
