Public bug reported:
I installed Lucid beta on a new laptop, a Thinkpad Edge. It has one of those
duplex, single mic+headphones jack. At first, all was working as expected -
sound from speakers when no headphones, speakers muted when headphones plugged
in - until I hit the mute button once. Now, I am getting rather erratic
behaviour: most of the time sound is coming from the internal speakers when
headphones are plugged in, sometimes sound comes from both speakers and
headphones. I cannot get sound to come only from the headphones anymore.
I get the change in behaviour when changing the settings in the sound
preferences, but not always, and not in any consistent way, so I cannot give
more details.
Problem remains after a restart.
In Windows 7 (dual boot), things work as expected, so not a hardware problem.
