i also have this kind of bug, what i see it only affect pidgin tray
icons in jaunty not in any other applications.
i relized that bug occour only when I installed libstdc++5, before that process
pidgin try icon was ok,
if I purged libstdc++5 , native tray icon of pidgin of isn't fixed i dont know
why, maybe libstdc++ messes with some other packages.

Pidging 2.6.6 Lates or previous version (same things happens)
