Yes, it does. The initramfs hook in plymouth 0.8.1-1ubuntu1 does not
call plymouth-set-default-theme.
If something else is calling plymouth-set-default-theme, please file a
separate bug report about that with a *full* error message.
If you're seeing problems because *you're* trying to call 'plymouth-set-
default-theme', well, don't do that. The way to change your theme now
is by running 'update-alternatives --config default.plymouth'.
