Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: pidgin
Hi! I've been testing Lucid Lynx Beta 1 for only a few days, got some
updates installed already and other applications like Wine, GIMP and
Ubuntu Tweak. I replaced Empathy with Pidgin and included it in the
startup application. However, I noticed that the Pidgin Buddy List and
chat window (IRC, which I set to load automatically when PIdgin starts)
shows up before anything else on startup. It overtakes the loading of my
top panel (by the way, I deleted the bottom panel) and applets.
So what happens is that, I boot my computer, immediately following the
bootscreen are the Buddy List and a few more seconds (maybe 2-3 seconds)
is the top panel.
How come?
