just did an update to 2.6.32-18-generic #27-Ubuntu SMP Fri Mar 26 21:13:44 UTC 2010 x86_64 GNU/Linux and I am still going back to the login screen whenever I close the laptop lid. When I manually suspend and resume normal lock screen is there and I can return to my active session.
