Desktop loads fine, but there is still that 20+ second lag between login and the desktop appearing - I have installed all the latest updates and although everything works once desktop loads, I am now getting various i/o errors at start up (prior to grub) and at shutdown as well. This has only occurred since the latest updates. Will file a separate bug report pertaining to that, but I don't have time right now - I'll do it later, assuming the problem keeps occurring.
