Latest version from Ricotz's PPA on latest Ubuntu Lucid Beta:
If I maximize LinuxDC++, all text in the top bar is replaced by ellipses »…«.
As far as I could test this happens only for LinuxDC++ and is
reproducible every time. As soon as a maximized window of it receives
focus (I use focus_mode "sloppy"), the dots appear.
I also use maximus, in case that is of any importance.
