Thanks for the response, Daniel. I set the values as you described and tried all three input sources but it still doesn't want to record.
What's weird is that the checkbox test never finishes and I have to kill the gst_pipeline_test process manually. When using Sound Recorder, I hit the record button and the Play button immediately becomes enabled but the Stop button remains disabled. A sound file is never generated.
