This is by design. We no longer fullscreen the window to introduce the
user to the desktop background and window controls. There was a bug
earlier in the cycle whereby the minimize button was showing, but that
should be fixed in the latest daily-live CDs (http://cdimage.ubuntu.com
/daily-live).
