I think I just found the problem: The time interval between autosaves defaults to zero. I misread it when I thought it said 10 minutes.
** Description changed: Binary package hint: codeblocks I've had CodeBlocks installed for a while, but haven't really used it until now. I just opened CodeBlocks, created a new project, and went to change CodeBlocks' environment settings. Specifically, the settings that appear to cause this crash are those related to autosave - I set it to - autosave source files and projects every 10 minutes, and I set the - method to "Create backup and save to original file". As soon as I click - OK, CodeBlocks freezes and System Monitor shows it taking up almost 100% - of available CPU power.
