I'm assuming you are using an external monitor with the Lucid nouveau
drivers for graphics. There is a known issue, bug 533135, that seems to
occur when there's an external monitor. I'm marking this as a duplicate.
If any of this seems incorrect, feel free to reset the state of this bug
back to "New".
