Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: ubuntuone-client
ubuntuone-preferences was starting on my laptop until 2 days ago. After
I ran update manager it no longer starts. When I click on System>
Preferences> Ubuntu One, Starting Ubuntu One appears on the lower panel
for 5+ seconds and then disappears. Ubuntu One is working, and I can
start it with u1sdtools via the command line if needed, but just can't
get the gui to work.
This is also affecting a desktop that was an upgrade from Karmic, and a
fresh install of Lucid on a laptop.
