Thank you for your reply and suggestion. I am able to run Firefox using the profile manager as you said, but only that one session. I tried creating and saving a new profile with no luck. I then tried deleting the old profiles (and the related files/directories) and creating a new default profile- and I get the same result: it works once, and then after shutting the Firefox window, I can't get it to reopen.
I then tried deleting the package and reinstalling it after a reboot. I also tried running Firefox only at the command line in terminal. All get the same result: the drive spins briefly, and then nothing; system monitor doesn't show Firefox running in the process list. I'd appreciate any other suggestions or help you can offer, but I realize there are probably other more important bugs out there- and I can always wait until end of April and do a fresh install. Thanks again- B. On Wed, Mar 31, 2010 at 9:33 PM, Draycen DeCator <[email protected]> wrote: > Thank you for reporting this to Ubuntu.
