Binary package hint: linux-source-2.6.20
Hardware is a Mac-Min with Intel Core Duo 1.66GHz, 1GB Ram.
System stops the boot process ... After disabling the ATA Channels.
Here the (self typed log and filtered only the important stuff - as was unable
to get the data dumped to a remote system or USB-Stick).

Note that there is only 1 Disk attached.
Even safe mode, disabling ACPI or forcing APIC failed.
After recompiling kernel 2.6.20.3 and making a debian/ubuntu package - I could
boot into the system without issues...
Note that this bug was known on the linux kernel mailling list - and seems to
have been fixed in 2.6.20.3 efficiently only.
2.6.20.2 bootet - but the system beheaved flaky. Very slow harddisk etc.
