Thank you for taking the time to report this issue and to make Ubuntu better.
The behavior you're describing here was fixed in r8079 on March 23, 2009. Since then, when Transmission is passed a torrent ID it doesn't recognize (such as, in this case, "t6"), the ID will not match any torrents. So, the new (and correct) behavior for the command-line you quoted would be for Transmission to do nothing. :) This behavior won't be fixed in older versions of Ubuntu because the package doesn't fit the requirements for backporting. See https://help.ubuntu.com/community/UbuntuBackports for more information. However, you can find newer versions of Transmission for older versions of Ubuntu at https://edge.launchpad.net/~transmissionbt/+archive/ppa ** Changed in: transmission (Ubuntu) Status: New => Fix Released -- transmission-remote parameters typo can wipe all downloaded previously files https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/552828 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
