I'm sorry, this doesn't work for me. I'm using Kubuntu Karmic, and the 
script

/usr/share/apport/apport-qt

does not exist on the system. Neither running a different script nor 
following the use of apport as described here
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Apport

will cause the crash to leave anything in the directory.

Apparently the bug is very reliably reproduced, by simply shifting a 
sheet in calc. OO crashes by vanishing immediately, no more 
notifications. It happens on at least two machines of mine, and others 
have confirmed this bug on their machines. Simply try it!
