That's not realy a bug. When you have a broadcom wlan interface, you have two options:
1) using windows drivers with ndiswrapper 2) using thopen source drivers When choosing the second option, you have to install bc43xx-fwcutter and extract the firmware. Because the firmware is not and cant be (because it isn't free software) be included in the ubuntu distribution, this error appears.
