Since daily-live (lucid desktop amd64 01.04.2010) first boot-screen uses wrong resolution (attached picture). Error message are not shown during boot anymore (but they're still in log). When boot up sequence switches to the X display, the screen becomes corrupted. There are portions of the screen from the last time the system ran, but they are scattered across the screen. I can hear the Ubuntu startup sounds, so the system is coming up. (take a look at #542950). But I can switch to console and enter commands. blacklist=vga16fb didn't work nouveau.modeset=0 didn't work Best regards ZB
