In the meantime I ran into the same problem on another laptop (Asus K50AB) This computer also uses the snd-hda-intel driver, but has slightly different hardware: Audio device: ATI Technologies Inc SBx00 Azalia (Intel HDA). Should I file a new report for that computer?
