Same with Amarok 2.3.0 in Ubuntu 10.04 (with gnome), after upgrade. After deleting amarok files in home directory, I ask Amarok to rescan collection. Scanning takes a while, but then the collection is still empty (one non-existent track only).
Then, when I close amarok, it closes but the process is still alive.
