Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: kontact
In Kubuntu since 6.06, Kontact fails to show the newticker plugin on the
overview screen although all the libs are there in the filesystem.
Kubuntu is the only Debian based system with this problem, so it can't
be an upstream problem.
To reproduce:
1. Open Kontact
2. Open Settings - Overview ("Einstellungen" - "Übersicht einrichten")
3. There's no newsticker plugin listed.
However:
$ locate newstickerplugin
/usr/lib/kde3/libkontact_newstickerplugin.la
/usr/lib/kde3/libkontact_newstickerplugin.so
/usr/share/services/kontact/newstickerplugin.desktop
All the files are there...
