I have a Sony VGN-Z555DN and everything works out of the box installing Karmic,
but the microphone defaults to extenral mic and I have to run alsamixer in the
terminal and change it to internal mic.
does anyone know of a way to do this automatically at boot time, just for
convenience?
Cheers,
Rex

cat /proc/asound/card*/codec\#*|grep -i codec
Codec: Realtek ALC262
Codec: Conexant ID 2c06
and the output to alsa_info (the link is broken BTW, the correct link is
