This should be fixed in Ubuntu 10.04 now. PhobosK, the fix has also been
committed to the stable branch 2.28
(http://git.gnome.org/browse/totem/log/?h=gnome-2-28), so when 2.28.5
will be released it could be proposed as a stable release update for
Ubuntu 9.10.
