Public bug reported:
After performing a system update I submitted a bug that left my system
completely unusable.
The situation occurs at the exact moment that network-manager connects
to the wireless network in my house, when you log on. The moment that
manages to connect the system freezes completely and the lights are
flashing on the keyboard.
I was able to recreate the situation after reinstall the system and I
managed to identify any of the following package as a cause of the
problem:
network-manager-gnome 0.8.0ubuntu2 -> 0.8.0ubuntu3
dhcp3-client 3.1.3-2ubuntu2 -> 3.1.3-2ubuntu3
dhcp3-common 3.1.3-2ubuntu2 -> 3.1.3-2ubuntu3
libnss3-1d 3.12.6-0ubuntu1 -> 3.12.6-0ubuntu2
libsasl2-2 2.1.23.dfsg1-3ubuntu1 -> 2.1.23.dfsg1-5ubuntu1
libsasl2-modules 2.1.23.dfsg1-3ubuntu1 -> 2.1.23.dfsg1-5ubuntu1
With versions of the packages listed to the left of the list the system
is stable. With the right versions of the list system has the problem
mentioned. Sorry for not being able to better identify which package is
causing the problem.
As additional data, I can comment that my wireless router is a Linksys
WRT160N v2 and my wireless card is an Intel 5300 (iwlagn module)
