Interesting. glChess has now been removed from the default games in
Lucid. The problem is still there, however.
This workaround remains valid:
sudo apt-get install python-opengl python-gtkglext1
mgltools-opengltk can't be installed in Lucid (yet):

mgltools-opengltk: Depends: python2.5 but it is not installable
