Read my comment right above yours on that thread... Unfortunately, for some reason (I don't remember, it was there before I joined the team but it's been mentioned a lot of times), TkCximage cannot be neither backwards nor forwards compatible. If the user has tcl/tk 8.5 (must have compiled it by himself/herself), aMSN will throw that segfault... This CANNOT happen with the official packages, because tcl/tk 8.5 is still in alpha stage (which means no packages) and aMSN's package depends on tcl/tk 8.4 only.
If you look at the backtrace, the user *DOES* have tcl/tk 8.5 . My guess is that aMSN is not recompiled for tcl/tk 8.5 . Unless we get feedback that it keeps happening after a recompile, you can consider this one closed. :) Vivia PS: I might be a bit unclear, so let me know if something is not clear :) On 3/15/07, Adrien Cunin <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Does it still happen with 0.96 version? > > -- > Segmentation fault > https://launchpad.net/bugs/46979 > > -- Segmentation fault https://launchpad.net/bugs/46979 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
