Read my comment right above yours on that thread...

Unfortunately, for some reason (I don't remember, it was there before
I joined the team but it's been mentioned a lot of times), TkCximage
cannot be neither backwards nor forwards compatible. If the user has
tcl/tk 8.5 (must have compiled it by himself/herself), aMSN will throw
that segfault... This CANNOT happen with the official packages,
because tcl/tk 8.5 is still in alpha stage (which means no packages)
and aMSN's package depends on tcl/tk 8.4 only.

If you look at the backtrace, the user *DOES* have tcl/tk 8.5 . My
guess is that aMSN is not recompiled for tcl/tk 8.5 . Unless we get
feedback that it keeps happening after a recompile, you can consider
this one closed. :)
