Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-core

On Kubuntu Feisty i386, with xserver-xorg-core 2:1.2.0-3ubuntu3
video driver is i810
chipset is G965 on an Intel DG965SS board with a dual DVI SDVO (add2) card

If I have superkaramba running, Xorg will use up around 1G of memory per
day, it's not as noticeable when superkaramba isn't running but there is
a slow creep in memory useage by Xorg so it seems other applications or
activity affects it too.

Here's the upstream bug for reference and a test program "which simply opens
and closes a display connection repeatedly".

It's fixed in the next version of xserver it looks like.
