Hi, this is still an issue for me. I also tried Lucid recently, but the
bug is still there.

Additional information:
* Upgraded BIOS to latest official version which supports VT (R2169M3c)
* Carefully avoiding fb drivers (via blacklisting in /etc/modprobe.d/ and via
kernel options)

No matter how i try the machine will hang hard, with black screen and
fan working at full speed, when I try suspend/hibernation. Perhaps
useful information is that when hibernating, it will still respond to
emergency remount and reboot (i.e. Alt+SysRq+s,u,b), whereas for suspend
the only thing to get it out of the locked state is power-off.

Interestingly, suspend WILL work without any problem if suspend is
chosen *before* logging in via gdm (i.e. even in graphics mode). Once
logged in, neither from within the session nor logging out/restart X,
suspend/hibernate will any longer work. Stopping gdm and and running
/etc/acpi/sleep.sh or pm-suspend from a text console will not work
either (both lead to the same dead-lock symptom).

VGN-Z21WN is a hybrid with two GPU:s ("GeForce 9300M GS" and "i915").
This might be relevant, since suspend resume works fine in 9.05 (dual-
boot) when only one of the GPU's is deployed (i915).

I've tried all the kernel acpi relevant kernel options and all the tests
mentioned at the wikis by ^_Pepe_^, without any difference.

Please advise how I can help testing/debugging this issue further.
