Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: samba
Re-installation of Ubuntu 9.10 from LXFDVD127 after a Debian 5 re-
installation accidentally overwrote Ubuntu / (/home was a separate
partition and was not overwritten). Three partitions, /, /home, and
swap, were the only partitions, sda1 (/ - ext4), sda2 (/home - ext3),
and sda6 (swap) are used for Ubuntu, Debian uses sda5 (/ - ext3), sda7
(/home - ext3) and sda6 (swap).
WinXP MC 2005 SP3 is installed on hda1, Win7 is installed on hda2.
Initial installation went without any hitches. When installing
upgrades, samba-common, grub-pc, and two other packages which I reported
as failing with error 10, marked today as affecting me, failed on
installation scripts.
