I was testing beta1 LiveCD with Virtualbox. The only thing i'd done before install langugage support was to run sudo apt-get update and sudo apt-get upgrade command under Konsole. I didn't know the version of language-selector, but i was sure it should be up to date. The Chinese characters being shown in an non-UTF-8 encoding is a bug which still exists in install-package.
