Status in Ubuntu: Incomplete

Bug description:
I expected that Ubuntu 10.04 Beta 1 would at least install to the hard drive.

However, while trying to install Beta 1 of Ubuntu 10.04 the hard drive
was not found.  This hard drive was on SATA slot number 4, on a 4 slot
Nvidia nforce 4 chipset on a A8N32-SLI Deluxe motherboard.  The other 3
slots were functioning as a software raid 5 and the hard drives were
unplugged so as not to corrupt during install, while slot 4 was set to
standard SATA function.  The hard drive is recognized by gparted and
nautilus running the live cd.
