Exact same problem with Toshiba NB300 netbook (UNR 10.04 Beta1). Extremely slow boot-up process... For the moment, I managed to solve it simply by changing the HDD SATA Controller mode from "AHCI" to "compatibility" in the BIOS. cheers,
